There is an African saying that; “some have heads but cannot afford a cap, some have a cap but don’t have a head”, this was the story of Jane. Jane was born into a family struggling to have one meal a day. Her parents worked very hard to give Jane a sound education so that she could get a better life and future. They gave in all to change their poor background and situation, but they died in the process, leaving Jane to be an orphan.
Quality Education- The Hope for Every Child
Every child deserves to have quality education. When Jane’s parents died, her hope of having a quality education for a better life died- society and her family failed her. If only society can set a standard to reach out to children like Jane on the street, there will be a ray of hope for them.
Quality education gears the student in becoming productive, active, and aware of their environment. It is a key to escaping poverty, which helps balance and showcases the potential of children. It focuses on the social, emotional, mental, physical, and cognitive development of every child.
We have so many Janes on the street today, most of whom were not born with a silver spoon. Though some were born with a silver spoon, the loss of either or both parents has deprived them of a better future.
This is a wake-up call to many who are at the seat of power or in a position to render help: no matter how little, let’s stretch out our hands to help the less privileged in our midst, and give our service to humanity.
You may not know how to help or think of where to meet these children. Think no further, Jason Charity Support Foundation is a perfect channel to reach out through. Charity, humanity, and education is the goal, it is time to give life to many through quality education.
